Professional Services Overview
Our Professional Services Group is comprised of highly experienced functional and technical consultants that specialize in the implementation, upgrade and expansion of Calypso, across each one of the asset classes and/or functional areas our solution provides.
The PS Group works very closely with our clients to ensure the successful implementation of our solution until go-live
Internship Description Overview
Calypso Technology is seeking a Trainee to join for a 6-month internship within our Professional Services Team in Paris (duration of the internship could be adapt depending on the candidate's availability).
The Professional Services give new graduates a tremendous opportunity to receive valuable training on the Calypso solution and the added value the solution can provide to our clients and its place in the financial landscape. The Trainee will learn consultancy on a large investment banking project.
Upon completion of the internship, the candidate may be offered a permanent position as an employee within the Professional Services department or a position in another Calypso department, in Paris or in other locations.
As Trainee, you will participate in a large investment banking project, implementing the Calypso system Cross Assets, starting with Back Office.
Scope of the Internship
-During the e-learning phase (along the whole period), the Trainee will be trained on concepts related to trading applications including front office functions (market data management, trade capture, pricing), risk and back office Processing settlements, documentation, accounting). Asset class specific training will also be provided in areas such as foreign exchange, foreign exchange options, fixed income, credit derivatives, interest derivatives, etc. Focus will quickly be given on Back Office for the project requirement;
-The Trainee will assist in the build, documentation and testing of the packaged business solution based on the specifications provided by the customer. He/she will also assist in the User Acceptance, issues Tracking, delivered corrections testing, and configuration modifications;
-Also, the Trainee will write and execute system test plans and co-ordinate areas of the user acceptance testing.
Skills & Requirements
-Master 2 in Finance or Mathematics preferred;
-Coursework or basic familiarity in capital markets and trading systems;
-Understand the use of technology as a tool to solve business problems;
-Good knowledge of financial products (Forex, interest rates, derivatives, fixed income, equities);
-Very good interpersonal skills;
-Excellent level of English language necessary;
-No experience necessary.
